On March 15, Justice Minister, Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council Fikrat Mammadov received Khachmaz, Guba, Gusar and other residents of the Khachmaz Regional Justice Department, according to the schedule of the heads of central executive bodies.
Prior to the reception, the Minister and Head of Khachmaz District Executive Power Shamsaddin Khanbabayev visited the monument of great leader Heydar Aliyev, put flowers at the monument and expressed deep reverence for his dear memory. In our country, special attention is paid to the development of bilateral relations with Islam and the Arab world, Cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is fruitful, including in legal field, large delegations of lawyers from this country visited Azerbaijan, they have shown interest in our judicial reform and positive experience, as well as during the visit of the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Kingdom to our country last year, the draft Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two ministries was agreed.
With the political will of the Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev, by combating corruption severely in our republic great importance is attached to international cooperation in this area, and our country is actively involved in its work as one of the organizers of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA).
A series of meetings of the IAACA were held at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna on January 21-24. Azerbaijan was represented by the delegation led by Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council, vice-president of the organization Fikrat Mammadov. The delegation includes Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic, Head of the Anti-Corruption Department, Kamran Aliyev, as well as officials of the Ministry and Prosecutor General s Office.
Particular attention is paid to the training of judges within the framework of reforms to improve the efficiency of justice in our country, for this purpose, regular trainings on various topical issues, including legislative innovations, are organized. A series of trainings are being continued for thorough study and proper application of substantive changes made in the Civil Procedure Code with the law adopted on December 28, 2018 by legislative initiative of the Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
The next such training was held in Shirvan Regional Justice Department with the participation of judges of Shirvan and Ganja Appeal Courts and the courts of first instance that are in their jurisdiction through a videoconference.
The amendments made to the Civil Procedural Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the Law on December 28, 2018 passed by the legislative initiative of the President Ilham Aliyev were discussed by presence of judges of the courts and officials of the apparatus referring to the jurisdiction of Baku Court of Appeal.
The chairman of the court Iman Naghiyev opened the event and noted that, the amendments made to the Civil Procedural Code are the integral part of the radical reforms carried out on modernization of judicial system in our country. He stressed that, systematic and expedient measures were realized in the field of automation of judicial activity and digitalization of justice judgement process within the frame of continuous development of Azerbaijan justice.
The judicial-legal reforms founded by the national leader Heydar Aliyev are continued successfully under the leadership of the President Ilham Aliyev and on the basis of this the judicial system is modernized, citizens access to the justice judgement is simplified, important works are carried out with relate to enlargement of appliance of modern ICT and “electron court” information system.
The judge s corps was strengthened with new-generation lawyers. The judges work weight is considerably reduced by completing the majority of the current vacancies, and therefore there are made conditions for qualitative and timely consideration of the works.
